Tough Mudder Charity Event!
On 11th September 2022, the team at Ideal raised money in aid of The Christie Charity by enduring the hardest obstacle course in the world…Tough Mudder!
The Christie Charity is the UK’s national charity and provides enhanced services for fighting cancer. Many people travel from afar to receive treatment from this particular hospital.
Joining the local fitness class EVO Didsbury, our entire team practiced for the next 8 weeks leading up to the big day, to complete the 10K hardcore obstacle course in North West, Cheshire designed by British Special Forces!
Suffering or other known as ‘exercise’ was not our only method of fundraising. We also had a Cuppa for The Christie event! This consisted of a delicious little food and drink stall just right outside our office, in which we raised just under £100 alone within 2 hours!
On the day of Tough Mudder, our team ran through the mud, ice water, and 10,000 volts of electricity to help raise awareness of the charity we are so often passionately involved with. After building on a foundation of teamwork and help from other strangers, we overcame the hardcore obstacles and raised £560 for The Christie Charity!
(All donations really count and go towards a vast range of beneficial resources in the hospital. From therapy at £1 to £300 for surgical equipment.)
We thank everyone who has donated and has helped up throughout our time raising funds in many different ways, such as our ‘blooming lovely’ events and ‘total warrior’.
